Vandal Science Day is a free and open-to-the-public annual event!
Join us October 4, for a day of free, 有趣的, hands-on science on the beautiful University of Idaho campus. It’s a day packed with fascinating activities, engaging presentations, and the chance to connect with U of I professors and students who are passionate about their work. This is an excellent opportunity for students to explore various scientific fields and see real-world applications of the concepts they learn in the classroom.
Example Highlights of the Day:
- Amazing Science Activities: Get hands-on with activities such as participating in a fossil dig, 使彗星, 和更多的.
- Interesting Special Presentations by professors and students
- Fun and Social: Enjoy food, prizes, and the chance to meet fellow science enthusiasts.

10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Science Trail at Vandal Science Day
Get stamps for participating in interactive science exhibits and activities. View science research posters. Buy rocks from the geology club and other 有趣的! Fill your card with stamps to be eligible for the 3 p.m. prize drawing.
10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Laboratory Tours
Polymorphic Games Studio, Mammoth fossil lab, NMR chemistry lab, and much more.
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. 午餐
Bring a lunch or walk 10 minutes to one of 莫斯科's terrific restaurants.
1 - 2 p.m. Science Trivia Contest
Test your science knowledge and compete for prizes!
10:30 a.m.- noon Lightning Talks
Short science presentations by faculty and students.
2:15 - 3 p.m. Student 研究 Showcase
Talk with current students about their research projects.
3 p.m. Vandal Science Day Prize Drawing
Show up to find out if you win a $500 scholarship, gift basket or other prizes.
Vandal Science Day is a joint project with the U of I Dual Credit Program.
